Drilled/Slotted rotors - Which ones and Where??
Hey guys..well it looks like the Z needs some new pads so I decided why not upgrade the rotors while i'm at it. With that said, I would like to hear some forum members experiences with the brands they have chosen. I am not looking to change the size from the stock size, just more of a quick swap.
Thanks in advance!

I just put on the slotted/dimpled ones from our forum vendor TPS. 230ish for all 4 shipped. the "hats" are zinc plated black and still look great even after a week of rain. pad rub areas went from rust to shine in a few miles.

Looks like a good deal. Any reason you went for dimpled instead of drilled??

I picked these up from Tirerack (forum sponsor). They've been great, although if I did it again I'd get ones with black hats, as the zinc finish is already rubbing off on the hub area. Just cosmetic discoloration, so you may not care. Very solidly built rotors and came recommended by a friend of mine who races bmw's and had experience with the brand.

Lots of discussion on pro's and cons for drilled, slotted etc. Some folks say that drilling makes the rotor prone to crack, and slotting to the edge does as well. The ones in my link avoid both those issues, and one of the reasons why I went that route.

I am more than happy with my Baer Decelerator II. I got mine used for a good deal I dont know where to buy them new for a good price. The fronts are stock size and the rear come with brackets that relocate the rear calipers.

Brake Performance drilled and slotted with GM ceramic pads. Have held up really nice and very little dust. Mine is not a track car so it works well for me.

No matter what rotors you get,I have GM drilled/slotted, have them CRYO'ED to prevent uneven wear, cracking and better rotor life. Just google cryogenics to fine a proper cryo shop.Have 50,000 miles on mine,it works.

Let me share my Opinion
Due to another Thread here, I purchased the $126 / Delivered F/R Slot/Cross Drill Rotors on the Auction Site from " RaceFormance"
I have received them, and they look incredibly decent for the $$

The ones I have I got from Sport Brakes but I don't think that they are around anymore.

I stumbled on these when I told my builder/tuner I wanted to do a new brake setup and he had a used set at his shop. I got a great deal on calipers chrome brackets, rotors, pads and stainless steel brakes lines. The whole set up came off a 97 that moved up to a C6 Z06 brake setup.

I went with drilled and slotted rotors from rotorpros.com
I'm very happy with the looks, the quality and the price. They bedded in well with some new Hawk HPS. No dust and great stopping power.
This might help you out when you do the job:
