I'm sure you would need to pull the wires off of the fuel tank area to just disable the gauge.

Why do you want to disable the gauge ?

Fill your tank with cheap gas until the sulfur builds up on the sending unit and it kicks a code/disables the gauge...not easy..but it'll work.......eventually.

There is no fuse or one thing to pull for this. The signal goes from your fuel level sensors in the tanks up to the PCM (powertrain control module) From there it goes into the Instrument cluster through the serial data line. You will have to unplug the senders at the tanks as stated earlier by ajg1915. This will probably set a code as well that you will see in the DIC.

Take the gauge cluster out, take it appart, and crazy glue the needle to the face gauge. You can also take apart the face gauge, and scratch the hell out of the motor. That will render it innoperative and disabled.
