Default Point Loma (pics--LOTS)

It was too nice of a day to stay indoors (sorry to all of you who are snow-bound--hope this cheers you up!)

Went to Point Loma/Cabrillo Nat'l Monument (San Diego)... did some walking, driving, and took some pics... enjoy!

Looking "left"

Looking "right"

Lighthouse

Stairwell

Lens

Living Qtrs

WW II Bunker

Sub coming Home (lucky--don't see this every day!

Navy Ship coming home

Bye-Bye (Coast Guard Lighthouse in rear-view mirror)

And, yes--that brown air is coming over San Diego from Tijuana (those hills in the distance on some shots)...

Great pics. The Lighthouse was awesome but catching the sub coming in must have been a cool thing to see. Thanks for sharing because it sucked in North Texas today at 20 degrees.

Those pics bring back memories of all the years I lived in San Diego while in the Navy and when my Dad was in the service. Thanks for posting them up - looks like a perfect day.

I have to ask..... Do your subs submerge and surface at the dock?...like up and down, up and down...for practice?

Very nice pics & C5. Love that color!!

I have approx. 4' of snow in my yard...my driveway reminds me of a bobsled run. Can't wait to get the vette out!

No I think they just sit there. One of those govt spending at its best things.
We built fast cat ferries for 4 5 hundred million found they don't work on the west coast sold them for 20 million

Nice pics, Greg. The weather has been gorgeous lately after all the rain in December.

Great pictures. If that is the USS Pinkney then my son is on it. They go out for 2 to 3 day excursions all the time and I think was due back today. Wouldn't that be a coincidence?

Great pics!! Weather looks good. I was once living on the Monterey Peninsula and loved it. Now, it's this white crap and sub zero temperatures. Stupid me.
