I used it on Torch Red, and would agree that it works pretty well, but you can't expect perfect. As was posted the color - at least on the red was not a perfect match - came out a little darker. I had some little rash on the door edges which it did well, of course those a harder to see and very small. I had a 1/8" size scape on the tail which it did well but the color is a little off. I know its there but you might not notice. I guess it all depends on the color and size and location (of course). But if you follow the directions it will do a better job than the little touch up brushes since after you apply and "smear with the glove" you lightly wipe the excess away with the thinner so there's no build up except in the nick or scrape- do multi times to fill those in a little. good luck

Drifting
I just finished doing about 100 chips on the front of my Mica Red Miata. It looked like it had measles. Now you cannot tell there was any chip. You have to be patient and do it slowly while following directions to a T. Cleaning, dabbing, wiping and buffing all take time and the couple hours it took was worth the time spent

1988 Red vett
We have a 1988 torch red vett that has a few ding ( I mean for 25 years old I don't think it's that bad) There re a few spots though that drive me crazy every time I walk past it and I was wondering if this would work on a 25 year old car... any and all input please... this is my baby

You can achieve the same results by using normal touch up paint and using 3M general purpose adhesive remover to remove the excess paint. Its actually a little easier and cleaner.

After you apply the Dr. Colorchip paint to the scratch/chip, you are supposed to smear the paint with your gloved fingertip. However, after that, you are supposed to use the thinner type liquid on a cloth and rub the surrounding area down- this should take care of any paint that isn't in the chip.
I've used it in the past with decent results. As long as your expectations are where they should be- that it will minimize, not eliminate blemishes- you will like it. I used it on Black and it came out good. If you knew where the chip was to begin with and looked for it after I was done, you'd be able to find it. However if you never knew it was there, you probably wouldn't see it. Hopefully that makes sense

I tried Dr Color Chip. I did repaint my license plate filler with excellent results using http://www.automotivetouchup.com/ spray base coat, color matched perfect and clear added the gloss.

OP- I swear by Dr Colorchip. The color was matched 100% and the application was a no brainer. Just follow directions. Good luck.
