Carlisle route?
Am planning on a trip to Carlisle in August, and have a nice route as far as the Kansas/Mo. border. Can anyone recommend a nice senic route from there to Carlisle? I'd like to avoid the Chicago area, but really want to take advantage of the trip on some interesting roads.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you have already routed yourself to the KS/MO border you have already avoided going through Chicago.
One nice stop along the way would be along I-70 you can visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
When the time gets closer I'd be happy to help you with some scenic roads and sights to see between Kansas City and Carlisle, PA

Gettysburg is only about 30 - 40 minutes south of Carlisle for additional hotel locations and attractions. Its a funtown and a lot of history to tour, take the bus tour if you have never been there, it will give you all the highlites and only takes a few hours. All of the back roads are fun, lots of ups and downs along with turns. You will enjoy it in a Vette.
