Lambo Doors Installation Video - 30 minutes of step by step
I wanted to post these up. I'm doing a voice over on them now, but it all takes forever so I just wanted to get the video posted for now. They're very detailed and go into every step of the job. Post up questions if you have any about getting the doors installed.
There are parts of the install I didn't even know about until I took a whole day to film and start editing for this. I asked my installers what they think about the level of difficulty, and they seem to look at it just like any other car. Of course my guys do amazing work and have done every car you can imagine, but still this take you through the whole job.

for most hardcore DIY guys, this video is perfect. For pretty much everyone else, it shows why its best to have a good shop do the install. Obviously we're happy to do installs for those who are close enough and dont want to tackle it themselves

Its just like anything else, people like to be unique and customize to their own taste as opposed to making their car look how everyone else wants it to look. Personally when i get dressed in the morning I like to wear what I feel looks the best on me, even if the rest of the world is wearing skin tight skinny jeans and retro colored shoes.
Some guys buy ZR1 front fenders for their Base C6... some guys have the bucks to buy a ZR1. Some guys throw on a door kit for their car, while others still fork out the cash for a Lamborghini. I know the guy who purchases an amazing machine like a ZR1 has good reason to scoff at another owner who buys a used C6 base and swaps out the body parts to look like his car does. I just think 99% of anyone who sees the two cars side by side wouldn't really give a damn who paid what, or how many horses are under the hood, they're still two great looking great performing vehicles. /rant

sorry but lambo doors are not like adding other corvette fenders on a corvette.
not saying no one should like them, i just do not see a point in them.

Not that I would ever install these but I have to say they look a lot better on our C5s than most of the cars I usually see them on. Lambo doors are particularly offensive on 4 door sedans.

I am not sure what modifactions you have done on your corvette if any at all... Just because you do not like the doors does not mean there isn't a huge market out there for them. I personall like the door on other corvettes not on mine... but each to their own...

Yep, it is the same thing. Its called custom. Some people like them some people don't. I will tell you one thing. You put them on your vette and you drive it out in public you will get alot of attention. I think they like good only on certain color vettes. I bought a set for my wife's vette for Xmas. She really likes them. Me, I'm more into HP.

I have to say mabey not sure well i dont know, attention getter they are I roll with 10 other guys here in the Central Valley of Kali. Out of 10 of us 5 C5'S have them and 1 C6 and 1 C6Z06 has them my 2000 is real clean and a HP Monster 1 of the fastest of the 10 but when we stop some where everyone checks out the doors. But the old guys hear mine and we talk power. Now I will check out the vid I think IO would like gullwing or if they rolled out and forward and up, that would be cool because they would be differant. Funny thing is I just saw a commercial that had a 4 door car with Lambo doors at a gas station with a Lamborghini and it had reg. doors and someone is talking in the backround saying its played out when the first car doesnt have them it is over somethin like that funny it was.
