I was having a pretty bad day yesterday... actually "lately" would be more accurate. I was at the hospital in Stockton for quite some time waiting...and waiting...


Anyhoooo.. this blue Z pulls up. It's sweet. Borla stingers...it has an awesome sound. The guy goes in the hospital and comes back out. I'm just drooling (wanting my Vette back) and we start talking. Next thing you know, he's showing me custom made seats in blue and black with a carbon-fiber-type of material... partitioners.. stereo...

He starts it up again and damn.. just damn. I'm not sold on the C6 wheels, but the cool thing is this: The badazz Z07 has some wheels like these and they look good on this blue Vette.

As we get to talking, we pretty much cover the spectrum. I show him some pics of my Z at a car show (just before the engine blew...{again}) and I talked about my pages of repairs. Turns out he's had a few of his own issues. Funny, I thought I had seen it all..


I told him about how much of a biotch it was to shift mine after I got the new rearend, torque-tube, clutch, etc... and he pulls out this "gizmo"... I can't remember what it is, but he has the skip-shift (as do I)--but this thing he has plugged into his cigarrette lighter supposedly makes his baby hum and it somehow "pairs" the synchros for shifting a bit smoother...

Anybody here shed some light on this puppy? He said it cost around $70 and it is a "must-have"--by the time we were done gabbing, it was time for both of us to go.


I had CF in the back of my mind the whole time, just knowing ya'll would have the answer for me.

BTW, don't doubt me when I say his car had an awesome sound. It's a sound that isn't normal. He say's he only has an SLP intake and those two Borla pipes (not the quads)-- first thing on my list when... I mean "if" my baby comes back.


I just noticed- his back wheels look smaller. Me no likey that too much. Optical illusion?

Not sure what the vibrator does, however I thought those were girl hands at first. Unless you're a professional rock star guitar player, long finger nails on guys really creep me out. His back tires are lower profile than his front tires. They almost look reversed, however I can't really tell my the angle.

I'm really at a loss here why you believe a device that plugs into the cigarette lighter can help your transmission synchros? I would have called bullsh1t on that guy in a heartbeat. The only thing I can think of that he's holding is one of those supposed battery starter devices. You keep it plugged into your cigarette lighter and if the battery dies you can start your car.

Then after calling BS on this guy I would have let him know his front/rear wheels are swapped, and let him know that's why his AH is acting up.

Another thing is he probably only has an SLP intake with a Borla catback. I'm not sure what the fascination is that someone might have "more than they are letting on" dude. This guy's wheels are on the wrong ends, he's holding a crappy battery starter, and has foo-foo nails.

Probably has 17's on the back, if you run drag radials 17's are way cheaper than 18's and it takes less power to turn them.

Wow, just seeing that car makes me cringe. How does he think those rear tires look good in any way? Probably got duped by the tire shop. Wheels look pretty nice if they had the right size tires on them at least.

Love the random bits of blue in the interior, looks 80s-tacky.

He probably sells those fake fuel efficiency devices that he's holding, that's probably why he was talking it up.

If the car was really nasty and had dual tailpipes it was probably the Borla straight pipes. Totally eliminates the mufflers.
