St. Jude
I know the forum’s 2010 St. Jude campaign is over and I thank everyone on the forum who has given in past years and gave this year, but this year’s St. Jude campaign took on a more personal note for me as Belle, the daughter of our church's Youth Minister and his wife, is one of the poster children for St. Jude.
Belle is 3 years old and has a rare form of cancer that appeared in her brain. Belle had a tumor the size of an orange that was operated on and removed with few side effects but the cancer had leached to her spine. Belle’s parents contacted St. Jude and she was accepted immediately. Belle and her mother spent months at St. Jude while her father stayed home with her brothers and sisters and tried to work.
They rave about St. Jude, the staff, the treatments, the accommodations…everything. There’s no way they could have afforded to pay for the treatments that Belle received much less accommodations, etc.
Belle is considered a high-risk/low prognosis child by St. Jude but I know that she will continue to get the latest treatment options available from St. Jude, and with her family and friend's faith in God, miracles can happen.
I would ask that all C5 guys and gals, any parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts please consider a gift to St. Jude so that Belle and others will have the chance to enjoy the things we take for granted.
Even though the campaign is over, you can continue to support St. Jude through the forum or through the St. Jude campaign in your area. I have shown below the information necessary to give through the forum and I want to thank our Moderator (Pewter99) for his help in getting this information to me.
Personal checks, cashier checks, or money orders, made out to: St. Jude Children's Hospital and mailed "pewter99":
Robert Briggs
P.O. Box 17083
Clearwater Fl 33762
Please put your forum name on the memo line of the check.
or if they want to use PayPal
corvettes4stjude@gmail.com
if they use the "gift" option there are no fees
Please consider a gift to St. Jude!
Thanks to everyone

My thoughts and prayers go out to Belle and her family - hope the doctors can help her beat this terrible disease. I recently received a mailing from St. Jude asking for another donation - I'll be getting it in the mail by the end of the week.
