Melting Slicks
Brand - Mickey Thompson ET Street DR's
Size - 305/35/18
Best 60' - 1.82 (leaving at 2500-3000rpm) - didn't want to break anything 2hrs from home
Wear - I've only put about 6-7 passes on them, so they still look new
I have a few friends with the same DR's and they 60' in the 1.6 range, and they hook like crazy. I'm just a wimp and hate breaking things, so I've yet to really put them to the test

Just Bought the Mickey Thompson Drag Radial's
I purchased them from Jeg's for $301.00 each + fedex fees. Also I bought the 18x12 C-6 Z-06 rims. My car is a 2001 Quicksilver Z-06. Still waiting for the rims to arrive. Will keep you posted.

if you want to hook the only option is mickey thompsons, imo. they hook with my 700rwhp/tq. if you have a stick, get bias plys (may need a 17inch) unless you want to drive around on the street a lot. auto, get radials....
I am running Nitto 305 RII (road race tire w/drag radial compound) and they spin at 80 MPH....but I didn't get them for dead hooks so....

no one has had any issues with act hand codes or concerns with the
305-35-18's MT's and stock size up front?
is it okay to have these with street tires up front?
no fitment issues using stock z06 size rims?

My setup is a little different because it is on a 16" wheel but I ran a 295/50 16 MT ET Street Radial II and loved it. I tried BFG Drag radials and Nitto Drag radials on my car (418 LS3 at the time) and they were just useless in first, second and sometimes the very beginning of third.

305/35 MT DR's. Average 60ft was a 1.75, best, 1.69. They break rear ends/axles if you have a clutch that bites hard like a puck style clutch.
I'd opt for the 17 inch ET streets, no tube required, softer sidewall witch lessens the strain you put on the rear end. Make sure you get a good clutch if you are running the stock ls6 and it goes. If I race again, I won't be using 18 inch DR's. Broke 2 axles and been through a couple rear ends, and I credit most of it to a bad clutch(spec 3), and the drag radial with a stiffer sidewall. A good combination of parts is worth it.
I'd go with a twin disk and the 17 ET street on stock z06 front wheels.

I don't know about the 3+ or 4+, so I can't comment. I just ran the 3. My blown ls3 will be getting a twin disk clutch and an ET street for the track. The one thing I learned, is that a proper wheel/clutch setup is key in lessening the possibility of blowing out parts on the rear.

I've run 315/30 BFG, Nitto 305/35 and Toyo 315/35 that's in order of most sticky to least...also have run a hoosier in a 275/40r17 which was better than the 3 previously mentioned, only bested by the 26x11.5 MT ET street w/ a 1.54
