Default Here's a New One!

Washing my 2000 Vert today when I heard my drivers seat air compressor running intermittently. Sometimes for 1-2 seconds and others as much as 5 seconds. Checked the seat switches and none are stuck, all operate OK. Took a 6 hour trip yesterday and had no seat issues. Tried a search and found nothing. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi There,
Was the key fob in your pocket while washing? Maybe you bumped it against something.

No key FOB, but I did find an old post about this problem so I am not the first. Possible bad connection. Seems to have stopped since I started and moved my car. Have my battery tender hooked up so my Optima won't go dead.

Go to the top of C5 Tech/Performance and the top sticky there about electrical.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...tion-long.html

In other words, clean the grounds. First symptom of an electrical problem, always check the grounds.

Thanks, I'll check that out.

Could some water have leaked in around the driver's window during washing and dripped down on the seat switches? I have heard of them shorting out from this.

Default Hatch Sticks

Right-side hatch sticks.

Repair guy applied greasy lube and was fine for a while.

It's back. Any ideas or experience with it?

And would love to copy/paste a new driver's seat (light gray).

Where can I find a seat, please? Have looked with no luck.

Thanks for anything that you can do on this!

Check the floor carpet for water. I had a similar problem where I would hear my seat "click" on and off. It turned out it was because while I had parked the car outside during a heavy rainstorm, water got on the controls and on the floor from those awesome GM seals (so happy I chose a targa! ). Anyway, try drying out your car if possible.

If there hasn't been any rain and you're sure you didn't spray any water in the car, then my info is useless. GL
