The Just for Corvettes Club, in junction with the California Automobile Museum, KHITS 92.1, and Woodland Motors is presenting the "First Annual Vettes for Vets" event on 11/07/10. This is a all Corvette car show plus a fund raiser for veterans organizations and a informational opportunity for veterans with 12 veteran's organizations being in attendance to offer information and assistance with veterans' needs. All proceeds from donations will go directly to veteran's organizations.
Donations can be made in the form of personal checks, cashier checks or money orders made out to "Just for Corvettes". Memo line on checks should be noted with: "Vettes for Vets donation" or "V 4 V donation". They may be mailed to:

ok vette owners... it is 3:30 a.m. and I can't sleep. I just checked to see how many people viewed this tread and the magic number is 375 in the last three days. Wouldn't it be great if each person that viewed this thread could donate 1.00? Do you know the potential of donations that could be raised over the next three weeks. If you are interested, please post up and say "i'm with you" and let the fever spread.

This show is for a very good cause. Without the veterans of our armed forces you would not have the freedom to own and drive your Vette anywhere in the USA.
Let's support the very people who keep us a free country

My buddy, Sweet Lou Gallagher, has an automotive radio talk show. He's going to be there that day collecting "signed" Christmas cards which will be sent to our troops in the middle east.
Please sign a card (or 100) and bring them with you. No need to put a stamp on it, just make the Christmas card out to "My American Hero" and add a little note.
If you put your name and address on the outside of the envelope you might even get a reply!
Let's use this get together to make a difference for our troops who will NOT be with their family for the holidays.
I'll see you all there!!!

I will be posting two to three raffle prizes each day until the event launches and will post the grand prize each day, so hear I go.
GRAND PRIZE - Harrah's/Harvey's Lake Tahoe - 2 night stay (during the week) with dinner and a show - 400.00 value
How about a large specialty pizza from Round Table and dessert at Baskin Robbins - can I put my order in now????
Dinner at the Elephant Bar - yum....
