Yep, my top flew off on the highway. Top is "structurally" fine but it hit blacktop so obviously has some gnarly scratches.
What's my best course of action?

No serious cracks or breaks,,,just go ahead and fix her up!!Looks like some bondo and careful prep should take care of it.Try fixing it first,,you can always get another one if you are not satisfied with it!! Good luck!! A hard top eliminates that risk!!! I'm in the OTHER FRC club!!

Safety Car
What I have never understood is why people do not latch the top as soon as they put it back on the car. To me it is all one process, take the top out of the back of the car, place it in place on the top, then put your butt in the seat and latch the 3 latches. It seems pretty simple process to me. Just my dumb old man .02 worth.

Try fixing that top and if it works out, you're good to go. If not, try finding a used one at a good price. Sorry about the damage - the FRC is not a club I ever want to belong to.

After that I developed a little system where I always rode with the visors in the up position when the top was off..then when I tried to put the roof on, i'd have to stop and move the visors,,this always helped me remember the latches.
