Unless there is something wrong with the car, that's a decent price and the miles are not all that bad. Heck, many cars here on the forum have way, way more miles than that on them.

My wife needs one... and for that price if the dealership is close I can help make your decision for you because that car would be gone... I'm with the others I'd offer $12K and go from there... But I would pay $13.9 if push came to shove..

The local Chevy dealer has a 1999 w/68K miles. I drove it. It's a nice 'vette! Silver w/black, which actually, is my favorite color combo. I don't have a photo to post, but you can probably picture it.
It has the G92 axle, which I insist upon. It's had two prior owners, but it's a local car from that dealer. It has a good CarFax. And he will sell it to me for $13,900!
Please, someone, talk me out of this. 68K is too many miles, isn't it? This can't be a smart thing to do. I'm going to have to trade in my Civic.
What I really want is that flawless '91 C4 w/50K for $8,500, isn't it?

I bought my '99 this year with 86k on it. I'm the 4th Owner. The car was traded back to the original selling Dealer 2 times. Had all the same problems other C5 Owners have with less than half the mileage! I fixed them all and have a great car now. If you're handy and can read instructions, C5's are pretty easy to work on!

That's not a lot of miles on a C5.
If everything else checks out, I'd negotiate a deal, and bring that machine home before someone else does.
Good luck!

I don't want to complicate this over much, but I was just talking to another dealer who has a 1998, not a 1999, a 1998. Same modela and color, but with 28K miles. He'll nearly match the $13,900 for the '99 w/68K miles.
I like the lower miles. And he wants my trade in. Was there something about the '98 not having the same cylinder heads as the '99? Is that important? Was there something else about the '98? THe '98 doesn't have a CD Player. Evidently, that didn't come out until '99. But that can be gotten. What's better, A lower mileage '98 or higher mileage '99?

Just make sure you check it out good.....I don't trust dealers...he must of bought the car for 10500 - 11500.00.
Just be careful.
If you look long and hard you will find great deals out there from private owners.
Do not leave a stone unturned....put in many hour searching...you will find your GEM.
i just bought a 2000 FRC white loaded with options, only 27k miles for $12750.00
You will find your diamond...just don't trust a dealer!

You know best. Good luck

One has to wonder if Jamo11 wouldn't rather TALK about buying a C5 than actually buying one!:
"I want, I want"----remember the old saying, want in one hand and crap in the other and see which gets full the quickest!!!

I just looked on AutoTrader and it looks like a bulk of the 97-99s with 50-70k miles are asking $16k-17k.
So $13,900 seems like a good price. However, I would strongly caution you from trading your daily driver in for a used corvette. Used cars will have problems and there is NOTHING on a vette that is cheap. I would even go so far as to say that NOTHING on a vette is reasonably priced. So, unless you can afford to not give up your daily driver you might be asking for problems.
If you had to buy tires, tire pressure sensors, and pads and rotors you would be looking at something in the neighborhood of $2500.
