Ebay sells GM keys. I wanted to order a spare one for my ex-C5, but sold the car before I did. You need to know the resistance before ordering (use a multimeter to measure it). From what I can remember, the key was very inexpensive

I have an 03 Z06 and the dealer said the key for it was discontinued. So I got the part number from the parts guy and began my search via google. There were several people said they could get it, but when I asked them to check to be sure……..Nope sorry we can’t get it anymore. I finally found one on e-bay that the guy had in stock for $64.99. I bought that sucker on the spot and was glad to get it.

Key is available on the big auction site for $10. You need to know the resistence value of the pellet in your current key to order the correct one. Then take the new keyblank to any good key cutting shop and have it cut. Probably cost less than $15 total. At the auction site search on
1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette VATS Key
And you will go right to it.

check the resistance of the pellet on the key, put your meter on ohm's one probe on each side of the pellet. Match your reading to a new key of the same reading.

If you have NO KEYS you are in trouble If one then get some blanks from fleabay
In any event get a couple of blanks with right resistor pellet value and using a key which starts the car get the blanks cut by a locksmith.
I paid $1.50 to a local locksmith while some robbers wanted $10-$50 to cut or supply a $10 to $12 blank.

I actually just picked a replacement from Ecklers website as posted previously. Just make sure you run to your local GM dealer to have them measure the resistance in your key (1 - 15). It's one thing they won't charge you for lol. Then pick up your key from that website and take it in to get cut and I'd say your good to go.

I bought 1 off eBay and it was like 7 bucks. You say you lost your set, I hope you have a spare, If not I am guessing it will have to be the dealer.

If you are without ANY KEYS might have to go to dealer and have it cut by VIN. Whomever was told the 03 keys are no longer available is being told a line of bull. 97-04 keys are the same. Need to know resistance on pellet and order the correct blank.
