Who drives their Vettes in the snow?
Very hot day here in Iraq today...thinking of my Vette and cooler weather. So, who drives their Vettes in the snow?
My Vette is my daily driver, my only car, so I have to drive it in whatever weather comes my way. It's got a little over 100,000 miles on it right now.
Below: The day before The Great Northern Kentucky Ice Storm of 2009. Took me an hour to get the ice off the car that morning. Picture taken at Ft. Knox.
Below: Pretty thick ice coating that day.
Below: The next day, The Great Northern Kentuck Ice Storm of 2009. No snow in the picture, all ice.
Below: The car has survived it's winters and is currently garaged in Georgia.

I have been out and caught in light snow but not anything like that. I would think it is not very good in deep snow....but it is a "car" I used to use my 67 Mustang all winter back in the day and yeah I know ....but it's a Mustang.....yup ...but wish I still had that "car"

was down the shore last week and after 4 or 5 days of the sand/dirt roads collecting on my vette I welcomed the heavy rains.....it washed all that crap off and all I had to do was shammy it dry !
They do not melt. The proof is ...when you wash them !...

I have driven my Vette in the snow before, but I certainly try to avoid it if at all possible. While it gets around, the hilly terrain here makes it an adventure.

I'm one of the crazy ones that drives mine all year round, it does ok in light snow, but in deep snow the limitation is simply the height of the car, so even with the best tires possible you wouldn't want to drive them in very deep snow. I have no choice though, I can't afford a third car and wouldn't have anywhere to park it even if I could (live in a townhouse with only one garage spot and one driveway spot, and we've already got two cars) I'm lucky in the fact that when we get heavy snow, my company shuts down for the day though anyhow.
