Race Deck Garage Floor Tiles
Anyone use these in their garage for their C5?
I'm thinking about pulling up my tired floor mats and perhaps installing some garage floor tiles. I checked out the tiles offered by Racedeck and I'm interested if anyone has experience with their product? I'm mostly concerned over how well they withstand tire heat/burn marks and how easy they are to keep clean.
Thanks!

I put Race Deck down in my garage and found that it was easy to work with and I always receive compliments on how great it looks. If I did it again I would not use any white tile. I have tire marks that I can't remove. Other than that it is a great product.

That's exactly what I'm thinking in designing this. Their website has some cool, interactive floor design options and I'm thinking about perhaps using black tile in the areas where the tires rest and adding some color around the edge. I was originally thinking a black/tan checkerboard pattern.

I agree about the white tile thing. I have found that those magic eraser things work pretty good at cleaning them though (of course that means you must be willing to get on your hands & knees to scrub your garage floor.
I've been happy with them for about two years, until I did a trans/diff fluid change. Tiles got very dirty, and I washed them off with water & brush. They ended up warping when they dried, and I'm not very happy about it.

Wow, I'm surprised they would warp after cleaning! I wonder if that's specific to their product or all garage floor tiles.

I haven't had any warping issues at all. I'll try the magic eraser on the tire marks. It is worth a try, I've scrubbed the stains with just about everything else.

Thanks for the feedback. Another MSG brother from nearby Parrish!

My neighbor across the street always yells at me when my garage door is open because it's so clean and his wife gets on him to clean their garage. He will probably shun me if I add the tiles!

I am happy with mine after 4 years of use. I live in New Jersey and get all kinds of weather on them and no problems. They clean up nice and can be replaced if needed, without too much effort. My creeper and detail seat roll nicely on the floor as well. Go For It!

Have you considered peel and stick vinyl tiles in alternating black and white? I did my garage with those at a fraction of the cost of the Race Deck type products. They have been down for 8 years and still look great.

I have gotten the tiles from Costco (when they were on sale). They were great and easy to install. I did a garage in Chicago and one in Orlando. The one in Chicago was just black and white and the white held up pretty well. Just a few spots that came off with magic eraser. Down in Orlando I did black and white with a blue border. Looks great.
I would do it again.

I like the idea of being able to remove the tiles in the event we move. Nothing planned, however I would like the option of picking them up and re-using them. I've already sunk enough $$$ into home improvements/upgrades in a down real estate market and so I told the wife that any additional home improvements will be improvements we can remove from the house.
