Is it possible to run a trans brace with these? Can you partially open the cutouts or is it all or nothing?

I don't know about the brace, but I believe that most if not all of the companies that sell the cutouts allow you to vary the opening of the cutouts. I know for a fact that my QTP's allow you to choose any angle between closed and fully open, based on how long you hold the switch open, a max of around 5 seconds before they are completely open or closed, assuming they start fully open or closed. Hope this helps, I am totally glad I did this mod to my vette!

2001 C5 I was looking to buy the wireless QTP low profile cutouts I know I need the turn down ends, but do I need the "y" pipe. Planning to put them between cat and muffler. A speed shop here wants $800. to buy and install, sounds a little pricey, he included $300. for installation. Am I being cheap or is this a Corvette price? I was wondering about 2.5 inch pipe and set up for a Toyota looks the same but, about $300. difference. Does anyone know if this would work? I don't think the pipe knows what car is it on.

DHM low profile here and I love them , had them on since 2009 and no issues, also added 11 RWHP open. Switch is mounted on my center console, ran wire through shifter hole to the interior of the car. The low profiles are welded in so unless you are a welder would be a none DYI. I think it was $125 or so to have them installed.See avatar, i have bigger picture but cant get to photobucket at work....

ive always been curious about these electric cutouts, not really familiar to its function can someone shed some light for me what benefits it gives, is it for performance? and would it make a difference for someone with long tubes and ORX pipe?

Wanted to share another pic of Patches set-up, I particularly like the panel for the switch he wired up for the ash try location.

DMH cutouts since '08. Ordered another set from Dave when I moved up to 3 inch pipes. Installation cost me $90.00.

Unlimited 4 year warranty is hard to beat

QTP 3"electric cutouts behind XS-Power headers and crossover pipes. Based the install on Patches thread. Used 2 sets of turn downs to make the connections, no QTP Y-Pipe required.

I have had them on since 2009. They are probably the coolest mod that I have (and I do have lots of mods). So nice to have a quiet car when cruising and a mean earth shaking machine when I desire. Never a problem and never a leak. I did paint mine black as I did the lower portion underneath my fascia and you have to really look to see them.

thanks. I ordered a set , and have had them installed a few days now .Welded them in myself over the grease pit in our shop here at work . I do like them very much because you can adjust the settings and fine tune for the exact sound you like . And if you get tired of that just turn them off / closed .
