video From ZR1 run in Spectre 341 Challenge hill climb
Hi Guys,
Here is the video from our ZR1 up the hill at the Spectre 341 Hill climb.
The car had our LGM G1 sway bars and our Drop Spindles plus our aero wing and front splitter.
Wheels are Forgline EV1-R . We had 12x18 front and 13x18 rear wheels with Toyo Proxis RA1 tires 275 front and 335 rear.
The rules called for no better than a 100 wear rating.
Engine was stock with upper and lower pulleys to increase the boost and we had our LG Super Pro 1 7/8" headers on the car. In dallas it had 630 rwhp. It was down 2 psi boost at the altitude of the event at 5500 ft.
We did win the event with a 3:21.747 one second faster than the Millen GTR.
Yes, there is more time in the ZR1 but this is not a normal course.
"Keep your foot to the floor until the thrill of speed is overcome by the fear of death." And that was in play here if you have never been up this road this fast.
The last driver up the hill crashed at the end of the straight and did not make it. RIP
God Speed. VR Alexander in a Porsche turbo was the driver. Sad way to end the event.
THanks, here is the video from one of the runs.

Great video, Lou and congrats on doing so well. Sad to hear about the driver that didn't make it.

Congratulations on the win! Great driving. Thanks for sharing the vid. How many times did you or were allowed to "walk-the-course" before your official run?

We stopped long enough to look at the corners and the "Drop offs". No matter how much you do that, you will be amazed at the difference at 140 mph ,
Now, having time on the course, I would be much faster, Much sooner the next time.
BUT unless they put a guard rail at the end of the straight, I would need a divorce to run it again. I like my wife too much to let a road come between us.

Awesome run, Lou! I really enjoyed watching the video. You looked really smooth. So, that's what 140mph looks like :-)
Sucks to hear about VRAlexander, but from the looks of some of his vids on youtube Karma came back with a vengeance.

Nice run, Lou! I probably couldn't have done it any faster, myself.
Everyone, notice how his car did NOT have 19 or 20-inch wheels and tires. I'll take those light weight 18s, any day!
