You will need about 375 horses at the rear wheels to get into the mid 12's. 777

12.3 with 333 hp at the wheels is very good and in the 11's is phenominal with 333 hp.

The dyno will not be off more than 10% either way.

Mabey with a few more bolt-ons you will be in the 10's.

12.5 with bolt ons... ABSOLUTELY!

My 02 A4 with 2.73s ran 13.1 stock. With only one pass under my belt with a Vararam it ran 12.8 at 109mph.

I am going to be installing my American Racing long tube headers with high-flow cats and x-pipe along with a Yank SY3200 converter and a 3.42 diff to go along with my Borla Stingers. If this and a dyno tune doesn't get me into the low 12s, something is wrong.

333 on a mustang dyno with a stall converter....a m6 car would probably be in the 350 range, and on a dynojet that same car might be in the 360-370 range....every dyno is different.

I have seen F-Bodys that make 310 at the wheels run low 12's with a big converter and slicks....you cant really say exactly what rwhp will get you there, its more the combo chosen from a proven list of bolt ons that have worked for others. LS1 bolt on's have been figured out, theres been F-Bodies in the 10's with bolt on's, and lots of C5's in the low-mid 11's depending on model.

Cheapest thing you can do is work on your launch technique.I went from 13.16 to 12.92 with a Vararam and after many runs have whittled that down to 12.84. I have an 04 ,A4,with 3.15 gears, vararam and corsa catback.I will prob get a Chuck Cow tune and hope to lower it a bit more.My 60 ft times have gone from 2.0's to 1.80's.

Gearing, tires, driver, are variables but horsepower will ultimately determine how fast you go. I thought I saw a chart on that somewhere....i.e. horsepower= quarter mile times

The other stuff is important but not as important as the horsepower.

Tell me you can get in the low 11's on 330 horsepower in a corvette....you can't.

Your bolt ons had better generate alot of horsepower.

How much additional horse power can bolt ons give you, if your stock corvette puts out 330 at the rear wheels ?

I am not knocking bolt-ons but there is a limit as to what they can do, without re-working the motor.

333 rwhp 11.84 @ 115.5 mph with a 1.68 60 foot....call me a liar all you want, but 11.5's and 11.6's have been done in a vette with the same mods as me over and over....

~2900 lb Fbody's have been 10's with bolt-ons and no engine work....seen it with my own eyes.

go read on ls1 tech and see how many have done it.

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/drag-r...1-74-bump.html

10.6 for f-body and 11.55 is dragman on here with similar mods....

I'm not calling you a liar....I'm trying to make reasonable statements.

Your list has no corvettes on it.

Your list has no car on it that runs in the low 11's, that weighs what a corvette weighs with driver. Low 11's means 11.1...11.2...11.3.........it doesn not mean 11.5...11.6....11.7....11.8....11.9.

I guess you just have a fast car that doesn't produce alot of horsepower.....must be the variables.

Sometimes I can be a PIA and push buttons. .....I do not think you are lying.

ALL the cars on the F body list had very high stall converters and at least 3.23 rear gears

I have a 3500 and it drives fine, I dont think I would want to daily drive a 4000, but it will get the job done.

My personal best was a 12.2 at 114 .
Mods at the time
Long tubes , X pipe , 3:42 rear , drag radials , tuned
Tha rest all stock. 2003 coupe . auto trans with a sound system.
also the last day of the year the track was open nice and cool outside.

I turn taction control and active handleing off. stall the car up to 1200 rpm's and roll into the pedal smoothly dont stab it or torque management will hold you back. just my .02 works for me . also keep your temps down at around 194 coolant temp the computer will start pulling timeing and it will hurt your et.

With my latest torque converter upgrade, I can get into the upper 12.8's about 40% of my runs.

With our types of cars, if you don't get 60' times below the 2.0 mark, then your chances of getting into the 12's aren't favorable
My old "97"w/auto and stock converter ran 12.90s with just a tune,c.a.i. and 3.42s! I wish I kept that car, now i don't have the extra bucks for some gears for my "99"! Dave
