how to tie down a C5 on a trailer
anyone have a good suggestion for how to tie down a C5 on a flatbed trailer?
I have lots of heavy cargo straps, but I have looked my car over and have no idea what points can be used to tie it down. So I'm looking for solutions.
I don't have wheel strap tie downs, but I guess I could rent some if that's the best solution.

Sorry I don't have any pictures, but here is what I do when I take my '99 to the track.
Once positioned on the trailer, I run an axle strap through the spokes of the front tires. Hook that strap to the tiedowns and tighten them down to the sides of the trailer in a forward direction.
Then I run a strap around the a-frame of the back wheels and hook a tiedown to that in a backwards direction to the back corners of the trailer.
I use straps like the ones below and ratchet tiedowns.

The hook on the left will quarter turn into the oblong hole at the four jacking points...just like jack pucks. Use these with ratchet straps and your good to go. I have thousands of miles hauling on open flat beds and enclosed race trailers. No damaged cars....easy to put in and take out. The ones that I have used for years are actually just the "T" without the hook.

When mine moved back to England it started the journey on a flatbed to LA. The driver used ratchet straps over all 4 wheels. You can see it in this pic

many thanks for the ideas. I can't do straps over all 4 wheels as the trailer I'm using doesn't have anchor points fitted for that.
I don't have far to go and the roads are not too ad, so I'll get strapped down using the wheels and suspension. should be ok as long as I don't get to out of control.
