Now I do know that auto 2010 dyno's lower and can really wake up with a tune. But stock for stock. it would be close from a dig since the vert weighs more than my coupe. On the big end, the vette should have the legs to get it done.
coups and verts in the c5 are very close in weight not counting the FRC/zo6 and some years the vert weigh less than coup.

If you have enough money to play the I'm faster than you game, please by all means do so, but expect to blow up multiple engines and mortgage your house to pay for parts, and then still probably lose to someone willing to mortgage their bigger house.

It will become a never ending cycle if you let it. Seen a few friends go this route, it can get real ugly.

Man I gotta love this - Just get a real tune on a Dyno "AFTER" you install your exhaust, CAI etc and go to the local track and have fun -

Real World the C5's are lighter than both cars stated and HP to weight ratio makes a huge difference!

What rear gears are you running on your A4? If you have 2.73's then it is in your best interest to get a set of 3.42's from a MN6 Vette and have the tuner set the PCM for them as well This will net 3/10th's @ least at the track

Also do a 2800-3200 stall and you will be flying

Thanks,matt

I thought that 300c SRT8s were high 13 sec cars at best.

I think it depends on the driver...

You all, who know me, know I loved my C5 --- But even when I had both my Charger SRT and C5...

...Let's say I was impressed with the SRT when a guy in a C5 coupe "started it." It was a bitter/sweet victory.

My brother has a stock 2010 Camaro SS and ran a 13.4. He is getting reading to put a CAI, Headers, and a tune within the next month. I will let you know what it does then.

SRT8's have the gearing to give you a run for your money if they can hook up.

425hp and 3.05 gearing and a 5 speed A... they have a nice flat trq curve as well... don't count them out. A lot of them are modified as well... cai/diablo predator can yield nice gains.

I've spanked a lot of cars in my 300c (not srt8) but i have heads/cam/cai/full exhaust/headers/cmr tune. The hemis are good engines.

What do you think a jeep SRT8 would do against a C5 A4 with 3.42, cat back and tune? Just curious as a buddy has one and has challenged me to a race on his private acerage road. If I lost I'd never hear the end of it.

Nope. I would say average is 13.5's but people have touched 12.9's completly stock. 420lbs of TQ and if you pre load the suspension right

jeep srt8's are BEASTS off the line... you have little/no chance from a dig in any vette. Stay away from the on the street unless its the autobahn and not from a dig.

LOL yeah any vette should stay away completely. Even the Z06s because the jeep will beat you for sure. I know whenever an srt8 rolls up on me I tremble. You might be able to make that comment on a STOCK C5 with an A4 and 2.73 gears, but give me a break, there are plenty of Corvettes that will eat that little cramped jeep for breakfast. I don't need to worry about from a dig because by 500-1000 feet out he is already well into my rear view, then it just keeps getting worse from there. Did you mean his auto and gearing would beat me in the 60' assuming i wasn't wearing drag radials? I can hear it now...

"Hey man nice race but I beat you." "WTF, you slammed your brakes on 100 feet out...and put your hazards on."

Couple of things, NEVER, EVER, come onto a predominantly middle aged, Republican website and post a picture like this unless you plan on getting made fun of. Middle aged Republicans think this represents what is wrong with this country. Shhhh I'm a "liberal" Democrat, but I'd tend to agree with the Republicans here. Clearly when you posed like this you were trying to mimic what you saw as being "cool", likely from an athlete, or musician. I'm sorry that the media has created this paradigm in your mind that you need to "feel" accepted and "cool". I accept you for who you are and you don't have to impress me with "fancy" cars, "expensive name brand clothing" and "gangsta" poses. If you were dressed in shorts, a t-shirt, and were driving a 1991 Le Baron I would give you the same level of respect (possibly more for being independent enough to fight social pressures). Hopefully your generation, which sadly is my generation as well, will grow up someday and realize that it is who you are as a person that matters, not what you wear or drive. Don't feel bad, it really isn't your fault .you were made to feel this way, but it is your choice if you continue to give into social pressure to be "cool".

Second, this represents Chrysler's "target market segment" I would have been shocked as hell to see any other type of person leaning on that 300c. Clearly their marketing team does a damn good job.

Absolutely rape it off the line. I have a buddy here with one with a Borla and a tune and that thing is DEADLY on a launch. It'll run out of steam up top, but catching it would take some effort.

Yep, I looked at that picture and my first thought was "That's what makes America great"....

NOT !

Just poking fun. I'm sure when I was young and people saw my long hair and bell bottoms, they were less than impressed too. Although I did manage to keep my pockets on my azz instead of the back of my knees.
