Default Any forum members from the bay area??

I was just curious how many corvetteforum
members are from the bay. Maybe it's just me but lot of the members here seem
to be from east of the Mississippi espically Texas and Florida or am I just crazy?

Yes I belive it was two years ago. Last year it rained that weekend so I didn't go, it's a rain or shine show.
The flyer that I got shows it being at Rickys Sports Theater & Grill in San Leandro this year on May 2nd. There's two other guys in my Corvette club who do shows - a 1969 coupe big block, and 1991 ZR1 or his 67 vert. It's posted on the WSCC web site as are all the shows for the season.

Yeah right across the street pretty much! I'm always up in Windsor for random reasons it seems like. Since you're so close, quick question for you. Do you recommend any local shops I can bring my car in for a simple job? I need my thermostat replaced and coolant changed.. and unfortunately im so busy lately I just cant risk being out of commission from a "learning experience" by doing it myself. I know it isnt too hard but I cant be without transportation for very long since my job requires having a car pretty much all day every day..

The W.S.C.C. (Western States Corvette Council) is the governing council that oversees all type 1 car shows. A series of Corvette clubs host the event and Alameda is one of the clubs that host a show every year, usally first show of the season. It's a point system added up over the show season, and an awards banquet at the end of the season. This year there are only nine shows, but Alemeda (Legends on Display) is the kick off on May 2nd.

You know, I have not had to use anyone special for anything. I can tell you where not to take it - Santa Rosa Cheverolet..They have messed up both of my vettes. I have been taking it to Healdsberg Chev for a couple of items and hey had me out pretty quick, Service writer is pretty upfront. I had a custom steering wheel installed by them and they were in and out quick came out nice. I would give them a shot..They will do it while you wait, no down time..
