Anyone replace this weatherstrip?
I need to replace the large piece that wraps around the middle and side windows. Has anyone done this before? What is in store and how did you go about it? Thanks

I replaced that weatherstip a few years ago! It was actually very easy.
Just a matter of removing a couple of push pins, pulling the old weatherstriping off and cleaning off the adhesive. Putting the new one on took 5-10 minutes.
Only problem I ran into was the push pins. If I where you, I'd pick up some new ones and replace those too. After I got through pulling those things out they looked pretty ragged. I went by the Chevy dealer and they would only sell me a box of 25. Then I remembered that I saw something like them at the Hardware store. So got back in the car and drove over to Lowes. They had the exact same pin right down to the markings. Came in a bag of two or three pins for a couple of bucks.
All in all it was a pretty easy job.

I sell 2 or 3 of those per week. If you're interested contact me and I'll be happy to help you out.

Is this for the targa top vette's? If so, I need to replace mine as soon as I get back from the sand. I need to replace it and the one's that go on each side of the targa top.

i believe that is actually the peice that goes down the door and up over the Halo in the targa's. That's the peice i need to change on mine as well. How much are the vendors offering these peices for?

Not sure on pricing, but I can almost guarantee you that Gene will have it considerably cheaper than someone like Eckler's or Mid America. Weatherstripping tends to be pricey. Always has been, so be sitting down when you start checking around on prices.
