Same here. I love my GS-D3's. They must be replacing them. Why would they give up on a good selling tire?

Allegro I am interested in those wheels you have on your vette. Did you have any problems with runout on the wheels or balancing them? Did you get the Z06 sizes?

TireRack had 6 tires left when I ordered a pair last week. They were in a warehouse in NV. I'm sure they are gone completely now.

I got my new tires in the mail and she is sitting at the shop getting re-shoed. I personally got tired of the EMT run-flats, they were so loud on the inside that you have to slightly raise your voice while to be heard while driving on the hwy. On top of it, not sure if my EMT's were bad or what, but I have continually had to add air to them (weekly).
I did some research and found the 2nd to the quietest tire is the Sumitomo HTRZ III which has pretty good performance characteristics. Here is a road test done by Tirerack. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...ay.jsp?ttid=93
I will be picking up my vette after work today to take it through the paces. I will report back and let you guys know what i think.
One last thing, my front EMTs where wearing really badly on the inside just like i have read in many previous posts.

I have a new set in the garage. I got them when they ran the sale/rebate and it looked like they were going to discontinue them. I love the traction in wet and dry conditions. I also like the handling and reduced noise. I also can't understand why they would discontinue them without a replacement tire.

As I type, I'm getting GY F1 Supercars mounted on mine (on the Z06 rims), along with a set of red calipers.

I'll be eager to hear what you think about them and the handling/noise as a new set. We always hear about the noise and such on well worn GY tires.

I have a set of GS D3s in my living room ready to install this weekend. Also got 4 new TPSs. Got an $80 rebate on the tires as well.

The kids LOVE the tires already. I brought them into the living room, and the kids have been playing with them. Last night my little girl was getting in one of the 18" rear tires and having me roll it across the room with her inside. They also stack them up and sit on the top, or go inside them.

Me, too. I bought the car a couple of years ago and figured I'd need new shoes last year. I drained one last year out of them, though, so all I've known in this car is the sounds of very well-worn tires.

Even then, I loved the way it handled with the Z06 rims and sway bars, and aligned to Z06 specs. That's why I stayed with 'em.

I'll be posting pics later.
