Check the plug at the bottom of the hood strut and make sure it is plugged in.

You can voltage test the socket at the waterproof plug connection below and also at the light itself - start there!

Thanks,Matt

x2

Since many Vettes spend a good deal of their lives with the hood lifted and a battery tender hooked up, many people disconnect the under hood light...at least temporarily.

I just quit worrying about it LOL. It worked the first time I popped the hood and never again LOL.

Open the drivers door then pop the hood release. See if that works for you. My light will not come on if I pop the hood by reaching through an open window.

check to see if the lights on your rear view mirror work. if not, its probably a fuse. I heard these two items run off the same circuit. hope this helps.

Good things to look at mentioned here. Hope it is something as simple as a loose connection or, blown bulb or a blown fuse.

If a fuse. It's the one that is for the vanity lights on the diagram. There is not one that reads hood light. (fuse panel passenger side foot well)

Fuse #2

Probably disconnected since it tends to drain the battery quickly with the hood open, mine was disconnected when I bought it.
