Prototype test-fitting: The prototype is .060" ABS. The final version will most likely be .093" or .125"

Franks Vettes was nice enough to let me do a test fit on some of his spare parts:







In this picture, you can see where i missed the fact that the shift indicator is contoured on both on the horizontal plan and vertical. I will have to adjust the mold i used to reflect this.

The overall look is pretty nice. Matches the car's appearance much better than the OEM leather IMO:




The opening for the shifter will bee filled by 0.125" this neoprene rubberon each side of the shifter. It will be bolted into place using stainless-steel hardware

Working on the mold to get it smooth and followign the lines of the indicator. Expect prototype v2 next week.

I've seen a couple flat aluminum ones for the M6, but nothing for the A4

The black ABS goes with the rest of the interior, count me in for this shifter plate.
