Airbrush Front/Rear Badges
Looking for some opinions here.
Car is going in for a full repaint. Getting a MCM hood with clear center to match my carbon wheels.
Color is going to be a custom mix based on Electron Blue.
I've got the option to get the front/rear badges airbrushed. Of course, I could also use those funds to help pay for all the other little things that are being added at the same time.
My thought is that the painted logos really make the car look like it has been custom painted. I also absolutely suck at cleaning around the badges.
As an alternative, I found some carbon look badges at RK Sport and could use those to give it a custom look.
But the shop also said they could airbrush the carbon look. I've seen their airbrush carbon, it's pretty good.
Let me know what you guys think. Clearly you can see I haven't decided yet.

I voted for air brush, BUT.... It has to be done right and covered with some really deep clear where it looks like it is under an inch of clear.

Interesting results. I didn't think it would be so evenly split.
I've just spent a bit looking for a picture of the body shop's work, but couldn't find a good one of their airbrushed logos. Let me just say, they are the best paint shop in town and one of the best I've heard of. I've personally seen a number of their airbrushed logos, and they are perfect. No reason to worry about it ruining the paint job or detracting in any fashion. Not going to happen.
I don't like the no badge look, so that idea is out.
I guess one question is -- how will the badge look in a few years when it's gone some inevitable swirl marks on it. I've got a PC to keep them down, but I'm sure it's going to get a chip from driving and some light swirls.
I'm thinking that since I'm on the fence, I may skip the airbrush badges and use that money in a different area.
Anyone do this and regret it. Anyone do this and think it is the greatest addition to their car ever?
Thanks for the feedback everyone!!!!
