I have both the coupe and the convertible and I vastly prefer the coupe.
If you are particular about keeping the appearance of the car up, the convertible top is much higher maintenance than the coupe's top. The additional space in the rear of the coupe makes it very versatile. The coupe with the transparent top on is far more spacious and airy on the interior than the convertible. When the top is up the convertible interior is more enclosed feeling. Depending on where you live, you are likely to have the top on or up the majority of the time. The coupe with the top off is much nicer to drive in a wide variety of temperature conditions than the convertible with the top down. The targa top is a giant leap forward over the T-tops of the past and in my opinion is simply the best of both worlds.

I think you should look around and test both vettes drive both and test removing the targa top and dropping the rag top and see what will work for you best because all vettes are great its a matter of looks and what will work for you for me I love my targa. Good luck
