BatWING..Pictures of new MOD
For the many who asked when I proposed to do this MOD..
YES there were MANY!!
I am posting pics of the new wing that I finished installing today..
BATWING is all carbon fiber...very lightweight, and functional.I can push down hard enough on it to compress and move the car up and down.
Ive found a creative way to support the wing by screwing it down to the rear deck edge thats reinforced with a fiberglass(and now a metal) crossmember.
I understand that this ISNT everyones "cup of tea"..
Many Many Many will HATE it!!
I do understand..
Try not to be to hard on me..
Remember we are corvette brothers and sisters..
MY FLAMESUIT IS ON!!
Oh yea..Try to keep the cursing to a minimum.
Lets just say the pictures dont do it justice..
It looks BAD A$$ in person!!

So that is how you roll in Jersey.......
Kinda remineds me of the Flying Nun.
In my opinion it sits up just a bit too high.
Just my opinion.

You are funny
The wing really doesnt sit as high as it appears in these pictures..
That was one of my concerns before I started the project.
From the deck to the bottom of the wing is 5"

Will the tape that is holding the batwing together be able to withstand the horse power gain?
Just askin, that's all....

YOU are a very, very brave man.......
I think it could be better hunkered down a bit but it looks like the mounts don't make that possible.
You are right, it's not my cup of tea, but I admire you for being original, brave, and doing what makes you happy.

I guess if it is headed to the track as a dedicated race vehicle then it may have a purpose, but I never have understood the whole spoiler/wing thing on a street vehicle?
I can usually get to my neighborhood 7/11 pretty quick without the back end of the car lifting off the ground!

I dont just drive to 7-11..
I drive swiftly and silently and sometimes at a high rate of speed on the highway and welcome a little extra downforce at the rear..
In general..
The whole Vette as a thing is complete overkill for the street.
WE really dont need a Vette to get around in..
We WANT them..
And I want the BATwing..

Batman rides again...
as long as you like it...
I'm not against wings though...I think the right one looks good on a Vette
Hats off for doing something different!!!!
