Sure it's excessive but I think it's cool. I don't know why people have a problem with a fellow Vette owner taking excessive care of his pride and joy.

I think its pretty neat. Why pick on somwone who wishes to keep there car nice. I would much rather see a vette that is loved than one that is abused.

Friend of mine has a genuine AC Cobra (289) and keeps his in one of those whenever it's not out of the garage. Swears by it for keeping things safe and clean.
He's been offered over $400,000 for it - and said "No, thanks!"

No, I've not been allowed to drive it - yet!

For the OP - I appreciate what you're doing to care for your investment. It's your baby - you treat it the way you want!

I have an alternative. Move to Arizona. No need for bubble wrap here!

His kids can't drive, they can't fit behind the wheel. In fact, they have a hard time getting them in and out of the family van.

I agree, Its a not only nice to keep dust, water off your car and or car cover when the garage is open. But the bubble makes it almost impossible for door dings if you have someone park next to it in the garage.

The winters out here are horrible. I would like to see a vette drive when we have 6 inches of snow or more on the roads.

It snowed here tonight, we got about a inch on the ground, My alero couldnt get traction, I could just imaging the vette.

They put so much salt down in our area that it literally turns the roads white. It sounds like you got a little more snow than we did in the Libertyville area. We just got a light dusting.

I would like to have you southern guys here in the winter with the white roads when a log truck passes you and splaters you with cinders. You would think again about driving your Vette in the winter here.
The biggest reason for the bubble, for me is the moisture in my garage that turns all aluminum white.
Thanks for your support, you guys that know what I'm talking about.
I like all comments though!

I've seen these for years now, and have often contemplated one for winter use. I also have a "sweaty" garage, and snowy winter. In fact, I just suspended my insurance until spring, since I won't be driving it. That's what my DD is for.

As for the idiots in this thread - Go get stupid in OT. Smart people, who buy these cars for fun, with summer-rated tires and icy winters, store their Vettes during winter. Get over it. You're not better than us if you drive during winter. Don't forget to post your crash pics, and salty undercarriages.
