I have a VR and like it, but, to each his own. Have fun with whatever you decide to go with. After you have the air intake and exhaust system you want, do yourself a big favor and get a high-quality performance tune customized for your vehicle. That's where you will really wake up your car. I recommend ECS in New Jersey, if you can get there. Good Luck!

There is a hole behind it. The air comes in, hits the radiator shroud and is pushed right up into the air intake.

I didn't put a full duct in there because I don't want water going up there. If water gets in, it hits the shroud and just falls down and out through the bottom of the bumper.

Cold air is being sucked in from the front and right up to the filter. Where else do you expect the air to go once it's in there? How is it "not a real CAI"?

Good question -- it's not enclosed or forced air (but at any speed we'd drive at who cares) BUT at highway speeds wouldn't the air getting to the intake be basically the same temperature as what a Vararam or Honker sucks in?

Started with the factory stock intake
then Z06 lid
then modded the Z06 lid
added K&N panel filter
then went with a dual cone intake
and finally the SLP Blackwing
