Default Car Shows = A boring experience for me

I have to ask the question.

Am I the only person on the forum that thinks car shows are a boring experience?

After about an hour its a complete bore to me

Am I the only one

The only part of a car show that I enjoy is when everyone starts their car and drives off.

It depends on the car show is what I learned. I've been to a quite a few and I can see why you feel this way. I don't go to them as much because it is repetitive and boring.

I like to look at the different cars, but don't really get into showing mine.

WHAT!
How can you own a Corvette and not enjoy a show celebrating art on 4 wheels? Granted, some art is not as nice as others, but come on! You own a Vette for the appreciation of the history, the design, the community that comes with it and the fact that Corvettes along with other world class automobiles are works of art in motion.

Please find joy in the show............

I enjoy going to the occasional cruise in. Not your traditional car show where you sit in a parking lot in the hot sun looking at all the 69 Camaros.

To each their own. I like to see what folks have done to their cars.....but I usually spend only about 1-2 hours, depending on the show size.

An hour or so is about all I can take at a car show. I'd much rather hit up a track rental or a cruise etc... A lot more fun!

I don't do many car shows but do quite a few car gatherings..The latest was the Vette's on the Lex deal in Corpus Christi which was one of the coolest car deals I've been involved in ...

By the time I've talked to everyone about their car 4 hours or more have flown by lol. I always have to ask everyone what they've done and what their plans are. Time flies when you're social.

As someone else stated, depends on the show.

Sitting in a lawn chair all day to wait for a plastic trophy? Absolutely HATE that and would never do it.

Cruise night with 200 Vettes and 700 muscle cars..... yeah, I can do that!

I agree and it also depends on the location. Living in Florida, I avoid the parking lot shows in the middle of the summer. However, I love the late afternoon beach shows and shows that have all types of cars, not just Corvettes.

All depends on what you went for or what you expected. I enjoy just hanging out with other car people that like taking care of their car and modding it. Also I learn from other people as well as give then ideas that I have. If you spend a lot of time cleaning and adding mods to your car, it is always nice to hear the remarks from spectators as well as other participants.
