Default Waiting is killing me!!!

I have really gone all out over the past year modding my car, widebody kit, LS6 manifold, Vararam and Power duct, LG streets and x-pipe. Interior changes for the red/black look, DVD/Nav and Sub Woofer.

Then the repairs..Transmission and Clutch R&R, new tires, rears(twice) and other stuff.

Anyway......I'm about to go nuts cause I want to get heads and cam to run with the big dogs.

But I have to save up...bummer

Got $800 need a lot more to get a decent head and cam package, but have been cruising LS1tech looking for deals.

If anyone has a decent set of heads or a camshaft that'll get me there please feel free to PM me.

P.S. I've already turned the couch cushions over looking for loose change. LOL!

I went the same path with external mods and felt same way. Have my built LS6 waiting to go in and FINALLY looks like I will make the swap in March or April...hang in there...I know the feeling...

keep your eyes open on the forum here - parts for sale - I've seen decent used cams for 2 - 300, and LS6 heads for 4 - 600 .... pretty close to your budget...when I did my engine, I missed all the good deals and ended up buying new stuff!!

Marc at vettenuts.net (a forum member and sponsor)

Parts out Z06's and other C5's. You might try him for some used heads, etc. I've bought a bunch of stuff from him and been pleased.
PM or call him and if he doesn't have it, he can problably find it.

Good luck finding a nice set of heads and a cam. One thing is for sure, the wait will be worth it.

I've almost spent as much over the past year as the car purchase itself. It's kept me from running to Corvettes of Houston and buying a c6 Z06. Now that it's been modded the way I like it I wouldn't think about trading it for a C6 Z06.

Just a little more to go for my ULTIMATE Dream ride!

STOP!

Try doing a bolt on that will far exceed the H/C package and still retain stock driveabilty

Buy a used Supercharger in the For Sale section here on the forum, you will exceed the RWHP by going forced induction, if I could turn back time I would of went FI 1st then H/C!

My buddies stock '04 gets 559 RWHP on 12 PSI of boost safely - you can easily slap on a supercharger and run safely 10 PSI and get 500+ RWHP on tap all the time

just something to ponder over -

Thanks,Matt (Yes it is a bolt on)
