From a Z06 to a Convertible- My Story
Hey guys!
Havent been on in a while, other than for work purposes.
Well I sold my 03 Z06 Last year, and its been a journey getting back on track to get another car!
Sold my Z06 that I enjoyed, but was getting sick of to put a down payment on my house and clear up funds.
Well after the house scenario was all finished, and I was settled, I bought a 05 GTO that was modifying and drove it around and just never actually got to liking it. While having the GTO I had a LS1 WS6, and a built LS1 Convertible SS Camaro. I liked those better than my GTO. Well I sold the GTO, and winter was approaching so I purchased a nice low mile 02 Duramax GMC CCLB 2500 4x4 and well needless to say I loved that truck..But was once again missing something.. After selling all I had but the truck, I knew it was time to get the truck out my way too, and it was Vette time again. Thats what I had been missing this whole time.
Sold my truck after about a month, and this whole summer I rode my CBR1000RR around as a commuter and drove a freinds car when It rained.
FINALLY- After a few months of search and going to Corvettes @ Carlisle with my company (Cleveland Pick-A-Part) I realized the one thing I didnt like about the Z06 was the whole "it not being convertible" thing. So other than hearing it from my freinds about not getting a "Z06" I figured you know what im gonna get a convertible, it cant be that much slower.
So, a 30k mile tripple black 6 Speed Convertible is now mine, near mint. Whoever had it, literally LOVED THE CAR.
I got to driving it and well, You wont find me in a C5 Z06 anytime soon!
I LOVE THIS CAR, the way it rides, the top down, the performance..AMAZING..AND I like the shine of the chrome wagon wheels, regardless of how many people hate them.
Yes, Im one of the few people who can say I like my Convertible than a Z06, because well Ive had both.
Also, For the first time in car owning history..I am not in a hurry to modify, I love the way the car is the way it sits (near stock). Ive never had a car this nice, and well I just drool over the car everytime I look at it, and obsess about it. Girlfreind hates it with a passion, I choose it over her 6 out of 7 days of the week

Oh, and a forewarning for you who think Convertibles are for old guys..
I just turned 20 if that changes anything, I still like it more!

Ive worked hard enough, and im sure all you have too. You start with something that your good at, and you go hard at it and exceed expectations that shatter any age limits. To each is own. And hey, most of you have bought parts, cars, engines, spent thousands through me anyways!
When my career is strickly involved in cars and things such as, I tend to care about that the most, so side effects are getting the cars and toys to keep me interested and acceling!
As far as the girlfriend, she loves the car and stuff and going out in it..But she doesnt like the top down because shes a cosmetologist and wah wah my hair has to be perfect. Well I like the top down so she can just drive separate!
