Default ZR1 spotted

Maybe no big deal to most people, but I saw my first new ZR1 on the highway today. Not sure where to post it, but since I was in my C5, I put it here

I got the opportunity to drive a customer's ZR1 about six weeks ago, and let me tell you.....this is the best Corvette I have ever had the privilege of driving!

This car lives up to all of it's hype! I would buy one in a heartbeat, and I'm not a huge fan of the C6. But this car is absolutely incredible!

Here's the car I drove -

I got to drive a friends in early August. His has a smaller pully on the SC and long tubes with a dyno tune. He's putting out 600+ hp to the rear wheels. He wanted to take his Lamborghini Gallardo and the ZR1 to a show and needed someone to drive one for him. Being the good friend that I am, I helped him out.

Amazing car. It gave me a mild case of C6 fever. Has me looking at C6 Z06s now as I know I can not afford a ZR1.

We have one in our club also. He also lives in my neighborhood so i have had the pleasure of cruising home with him several times. Here's a picture of his ZR1.

One in my club too.

Too bad they are about 10 years out of my price range.

There was one for 24 hours at my local stealership that I missed seeing by 4-5 days or so... Does that count?

Pretty cool cars!!

I saw one a few weeks ago in the tiny town of Coralville. I couldn't figure out what a ZR1 was doing in a place like this, but it was awesome to see!

A gentleman in our club has one, and a couple of weeks ago, he allowed me to drive it. I agree with the sentiments posted above, it's incredible. It's hard to describe the feeling of going thru the gears, and the way this thing pulls when you get above 3,000 rpm. My C5 feels kinda meek to me now! The smile you see below has not left me yet!

I've seen a couple on display here in downtown Charlotte (part of some Chevy show and Speedweek). I think they look about as good as a ZO6, but geez they have some wide tires!
