Is anybody else just wondering how the hell they got 5 people to fit in a C5?

Was someone under the hatch glass posed as a spider monkey? Then maybe one person sitting in the passenger seat, and another person sitting on their lap, then the driver in his spot, that leaves one more person. Where did they fit?

If any of you can get 5 people in your C5, I seriously wants some pictures.

I'm guessing the two smaller kids were under the hatch. 2 in the passenger seat and then the idiot driver. I recall riding #3 under the hatch of a C4 when I was little with my dad and uncle. We only went through the neighborhood at 25mph, though.

I'm usually the first person to make a sarcastic/controversial comment but WOW. Thought I was ice cold. In case some people are not reading the story, a person DIED. Everyone here has done something stupid so there is no need to point out how ignorant or how careless someone was. These are people's kids and now one is gone forever. Grow up.

Respectfully

-Alex

My understanding is that the kid killed was 9, the others, except the driver, kids. What kind of jackass makes a comment about gene pools in this situation.

We all made those choices at that age. Fortunately it did kill us or our passengers. Could have been me (in a much slower car).

When my boy was 9 , (hes 19 now) he used to chum with a friend whose dad had ( and still does) a 58 vette rag with a 427 shoehorned in. Once when my boy was visiting, the friends dad took 4 kids ( aged 9 and under) all for a little 'blast'. My boy said he was spinning his wheels and drifting. The boy said he was afraid they were all going to fall out. Well that was the last time my boy went over there. (The father ended up doing time for dealing drugs) He was a jackass for taking kids for a 'blast'. Whoever says anything about loosing kids to the genepool a a f*** jackass. Kids can't get themselves outta stupid situations. .......jackass

My thoughts exactly! The Corvette, traction control, power, etc. probably had nothing to do with it. He could have been driving a four cylinder Miata and the same thing could have happened. The dumb mistake was piling in four other people inside a 2-door sports coupe. Heck, one of the passengers could have fell into his lap, knocking his hands off the steering wheel, etc.

I just hope this doesn't turn out to be a story about how they all decided to pile in the Corvette and go out for ice-cream. Sad considering how many children were involved.

My earlier comments about traction control was not pointed at this accident,it was directed at the post about how traction control and abs is what causes all these vette accidents!
