Default Radioflyer presents: Audi-style Custom Corner lights Mod.

Too long has the C5 owner been limited to a single 3157 and 194 bulb. After much research and development, I’m proud to introduce the most unique corner light modification ever for the C5:

The LED strip is mounted on inside of the lens for protection and aesthetics. The Plug and play option taps into the 194 marker light or can replace it entirely (no splicing required)

Other creative options allow the LED strip to act as the Turn signal and DRL with the cutting and splicing of just 3 wires. (I can provide the instructions for this)

These also look great on tinted corner lights. Here’s my set:

LED strips can be done in White or Amber, or for show I can install them in Blue, Red or Green or purple (Not Legal for use on road) I offer a wireless remote control wire harness for an easy to install of the other colors.

How it works:
You supply the corner lights you want modified. I can do this modification on OEM or Aftermarket light housings. You can pay in advance with Paypal or send check or money order with your Lights.

Pricing:
Yellow or Amber LED strip modification: $85 shipped (turnaround time: ~2-3 business days)
Red, Blue or Green LED strip modification: $100 shipped (turnaround time ~2 weeks from time of order. Advanced payment with paypal will speed up the turnaround time)

Wireless remote with harness for RGB colors: $50 Shipped.

Are you selling the strip kits or the complete corner assembly? Also, will these work with LED corner lights and switchbacks?

I"m selling the modification to a set of corner lights you provide.

George, like the look but want to know...

- do you lose the use of the 194 bulb in the corner once the strips are installed?
- do the 3157 bulbs still operate as usual (ie turn signals, DTRL's etc)

Thanks

You can still retain use of the 194 bulb and the 3157 bulbs area unaffected.

Seriously thinking about this. Where would be a good place to buy corners from to have this done. I don't want to modify my stock corners...

What happens if any of the LED ever burns out? It would suck to have one or two go out. Removing light bulbs in the corner lights is a big pain on its own, removing the light assemblies takes it to another degree of PIA. Seems like reliability of LEDs vary and they do have a nasty habit of going out. Have you considered maybe using fiber optics instead? This way, the light source could be easier to replace without disecting the light assemblies to fix anything. Looks very nice but servicing would make me think real hard. Especially when you have to remove assemblies that are smoked and easy to scratch... Just thinking aloud.

Many forum vendors sell the corner lights.

Electronics are unpredictable. Just assuming the impossible happens, what then? And again, have you considered a replacable light source to make these things servicable by the end user? I am not dumping on your post but I went through the ordeal of replacing the assemblies and am fully aware how much PIA this can be...

I will offer a 1-year warrenty on the LED strip. If ANY of the LEDs fail within this period, simply ship the lights back to me and I will replace the entire LED strip and ship back at no charge.

I am very interested in this. I just bought clear corners and haven't installed yet. Do you have any close up pics ( front and back ) with the lights off?

I've used this same style LED strip for a number of modification. on two occasions I've had them fail on me. one strip I lost 2 LEDs which were not adjacent, they must have just been defective. on the other strip I lost a whole set of 3 LEDs. these work by grouping 3 LEDs in series together along with a resistor to regulate the voltage. I guess that resistor were just a bit out of spec. my C5 usually gives me 14.6V and it must have been just over the limit for them causing them to overheat and fail sooner. the vendor I bought them from was awesome and replaced them for me no questions asked. didn't even need to send them the old ones, but I have seen them fail.

the good news is in my experience they will either fail within a few weeks, or they won't fail at all. they are either defective or not. the ones I had fail on me did so within weeks of installation. the ones that did not fail are still going strong years later. the replacements are working fine also.

with George's 1 year warranty if anything does go wrong he'll make it right, then chances are you don't have any other issues.

Good looking product! I'd buy the if I didn't already build a set myself
