Where did you get it?
I've been a lurker on here for a while, absorbing all of the knowledge flowing around.
My question to all is... assuming you didn't buy your C5 new, where did you get it?
It seems like the stock at dealers is slim to none for C5's. Where did you get yours, and were you happy with the deal?
Thanks. I hope to be one a real member of this group soon.

I had been searching on ebay, autotrader.com and such as that for over a year. I just happened upon the one I bought about a month or so ago from a guy who had just moved to within about 15 miles of me. He didn't have a garage anymore to keep it in so he was selling it, I got a good deal on it so I bought it.

I found my 98 in the Auto Trader, it was advertised by a local Infiniti dealer. The original owner had traded this C5 in on a new G35 coupe. So his loss was my gain! I was very happy with the deal, a lot of people think cars sold by dealers are priced higher, but this one was thousands less than the other C5s in the trader at the time that were advertised by private sellers.

Bought mine off the forum, stock, and in excellent shape. Happy, yep, you could say that.

Bought my '01 from a local dealer where I had also purchased a '94 coupe. Traded in the '94 which sat on his lot for over 6-months (over 100k miles). Salesman said the '01 was a 1-yr lease return. This was a week after 9/11. In-service date for the '01 was Sept 2000 and had
17k miles, M6, F45 and both tops. Still have it now with 45k miles and purchased a '07 C6 A6 for the wife from the same dealer.

I've been scoping Ebay. I actually bought my wife's BMW 330xi on Ebay three years ago - it has been an absolute gem.
It seems like the dealers around me don't carry them. Hell, they don't carry much new C6 stock either.
I'll have to keep my eyes peeled. Ebay, the 4-sale on here, and other places.
I've wanted one for years. The mention of me wanting a yellow Corvette even made it into my wedding ceremony.

I looked at a couple dealer cars but they both were sold before I made my mind up and eventually I found the perfect one right here on the forum. Flew to NH and drove it home to VA.
