OK, very fun DD, except in snow and puddling rain. If you get decent rain groove tires, (Goodyear GS-D3), then the rain is less of a problem. Light cars with wide tires are prone to hydroplane.
My summer, dry, Z rated tires were just siucidal on heavy rain drives. In the snow, its like Russian Roulette with an automatic pistol.

Its not a bad DD. If you dont mind an involved driving experiance and shifting. I deal with some traffic but not that bad.

I've lived in STL but I'm currently in KC. I dd my ZO6. I've had a coupe (a 99 and a 05) and I think the seats in the ZO6 are more comfortable. The Z has more road noise but then who really cares about that unless your g/f is with you. When I was in STL I had a Z28 for my dd. I'd throw a couple of sand bags in the back when it was winter to help with traction. I'd say that would help the ZO6 too. Get one you'll be fine.

I DD mine IN St. Louis.

I wouldn't expect to drive it with snow on the ground. Otherwise, it does just fine.

Great daily driver in late spring, summer, and early fall. I've found snow driving very poor on summer performance tires. Park it. Also, the stock GY Eagle F1's have trouble in cooler temps and heavier rain. I'm hoping the Michelin PS2's are better in wet and maybe at slightly cooler temps in spring/fall in CO. So in CO, you can get 8 months, 4 of which enable performance driving IMHO. Watch for STI's, EVOs, Audis, GSXs picking on you late fall and early spring

But on a hot summer day...

My stock 2004 Z06 is a fine DD. Corvettes are built to drive.
The Z06 can be driven mild or hard/fast. In snow or heavy rain my 1999 lifted 33" tires wrangler take over.

02 Z06 with 25K on it and if I didn't work on the ocean I would be inclined to drive it more than I do, which is a couple times a week. It is stock for now but in about 2 weeks it is getting a full exhaust with Bullets and a blower. Will be really hard not to take it everyday to work and just wash it a lot. I alos bought it to drive, life is short enjoy it, it is only money and you can not take it with you. If you wear it out just get another one

I have had my z06 for a week now but I intend to DD, I have a 26 mile trip one way 33% country roads the rest highway, I am getting 21.X mpg according to the trip counter. I'll know for sure when I fill it up for the 1st time. So far it's been a killer DD, better then my Scion Xb any way, and I can pass folks with authority! Mine has full custom exhaust so it's noisy but I just turn the stereo up if the drone gets to me. The wheel tire combo on there I am sure adds some harshness but really folks they are just machines, made to be driven.

All seriousness aside, DD for over 60K miles @ 50 per day. Tollway and minor stop an go. Best DD I've every owned in my book.

Plus, I'm an old guy.

I have been driving mine to work lately, it gets better mileage then my Honda Element, is way more comfortable than my Caged Miata track car and safer then the motorcycle.

The others get used as needed but I do like the long 6th gear and torque on the highway. 70 MPH limit means I can cruise at 78 with zero problems from the State Police.

If I had to guess I would say the the dude who made this thread probably decided almost four years ago. But on that note yes I DD mine. It sucks putting miles on it, but I always said I bought it to drive it, not to look at.

DD mine with full exhaust and a decent size cam, pfadt motor and diff mounts with a trans brace, and no problems 22-24 in the city and 28-31 on the highway
