Default LSX 427 bling thread (lots of pics)

Long story short, I started building this 427 for my twin turbo truck, but it ended up being the perfect engine for my C5 project.

Here are some stats:

427 CID LSX
Bore: 4.125
Stroke: 4.0
Crankshaft: Callies Compstar W (24 time reluctor)
Rods: 6.125 H Beam w Arp 2000 7/16 Bolts mfg.Compstar
Camshaft: 237/246 .600/.608 113lsa (installed 2* retarded for a 113.5 ICL and a 113ECL)
Lifters: GM Hyd Roller (CTSV)
Rocker Arms: Crane Race Gold 1.75:1 advanced lift.
Pistons: Wiseco 18cc dish
Rings: Ackerly and Childs Ductile 1/16x 1/16x 3mm
Pushrods chromoly 7.4"
Compression Ratio: 10.7:1
Timing Chain: Roll Master Billet double row w LS2 cam gear,timing cover
Oil Pump GM with modified spring, 2 shims
Main Bearings: Clevite 2199. H..std
Rod Bearings: Clevite 663 H std.
Cam Bearings: Durabond
Piston deck -4
Piston to Wall +.005.”
ARP Head studs, 2000 rod bolts, cam bolts, Main Studs
Head Gaskets GM MLS 7 LTR
Cyl Heads: Edelbrock 245s with a WCCH port and polish
SLP 25% UD pulley
Competition Clutch stage 2 kit
MM12 (2002 Z06)
3.42 (2002 Z06)
ARH 1 7/8 long tubes
ARH 3x3 non-catted X pipe
Corsa cat back

First: this is my buddy Rex who helped me out by assembling the low end for me back when this was still going in the truck. Since then, I undid a lot of his work (cam, heads, pully, cam timing, etc.) and he's always there to help out via telephone.

I still have a lot to do...

I've got the dash out, the carpet and seats out, the driveline, suspension, whew...

Oh yeah, I'm also swapping the PCM to a 2002, which is done except for the new wiring for the manual transmission, and then needs to be buttoned up.

I'll probably be tuning this weekend [knock wood]

The 427 is divorced from the engine crane

It's almost starting to look like something that is supposed be driven...
