Default Short people

Any sub 60" tall people own C5's? My girlfriend is 4'11" and needs a pillow between the seat and her back in order to press the clutch to the floor. She could use a pillow under her behind for some elevation also. Yes the seat is adjusted all the way forward and the height is at its max.

How do the height challenged people deal with the C5? Just avoid it or is there a seat booster out there to help out?

You lucked out! Now you have a great excuse for NOT letting her drive. My wife doesn't know how to drive a manual tranny and I'm in no rush to teach her - same applies to my daughter. Get em a Miata and be done with it!

If you've got the seat all the way forward, guess the options are minimal. If the pillow works, go with that.

Mrs. Patches is 5'3" and has no problems driving her C5 - course, it's an A4. I do believe she could drive my M6 - that is, if I let her.

I have a set of pedal extensions that I bought for an 86 BMW that one of my sons drove before he shot up. It was a 5 speed and the extensions are universal

Not quite, but close.

My wife is 5'1" and has no problem at all. I find it difficult to believe that 2" would cause all that.

Now I have a problem. After she drives it I frequently almost give myself a hernia when I jump in the car and the seat is about 2" from the steering wheel.

But if it's really a problem, get her a pair of these....

Well, 60 inches is just 5 ft even... So if you're 5'6", you shouldn't have any issues. I'm 5'7" and I don't like to be close to the steering wheel. I sit about mid-way in the seat travel. I can put the clutch to the floor no problem (and I wear extremely thin soled pumas when I drive). When I wear dress shoes or my running shoes, I move the seat back another inch at least... Sometimes more. Where my seat is normally at, I can drive bare-foot without a problem.

If my girlfriend is under 5'0", she's not going to be able to drive my car. (Not like I'd let her in the first place.)

What's funny is that my car attracts girls like crazy. I've had so many girls come up to me in the past 3 weeks asking me about the car. They don't want a ride in it... They want to drive it. I practically have to beat them off with a stick... (giggity)

I guess I will need to purchase a set of these. Wonder if they come in a size 3?

my wife is 4' 9" and it is virtually impossible for her to drive the C5 and get the clutch down to the floor. either way she isn't comfortable and would prefer to pass rather that drive it.

makes all the sense in the world that her HEMI magnum has pedals that are power adjustable just like the seats. move a full 2 inches toward the driver, that and a 6 way power seat put her in a fairly normal driving position without feeling like the steering wheel is in her face.
