Bose cd (reboot?)
Any of you know if there's any truth to rebooting the C5 bose radio cd player by disconnecting the battery or pulling a fuse? I just recently tried a disc in my player and it just rejects after displaying "Err". I don't have the changer, just the dash unit.

Never heard of that.
Did you try another CD?
Was it a commercial CD (not an mp3 or home burned CD)?

Reserecting this. My New 98 C5 does the same thing, no head movement noise or anything. Just takes the disc, waits.. Err's then ejects. Have tried multiple burned/store pressed disks.

Mine just stopped working. No MP3 or store bought CDs will play now, just the radio. Also just waits a moment then spits it out and says-- "ERR"....I just play the Music/files on the I-Pod anyway now. At least I dont have to lug around a million CDs anymore.

Battery disconnect might work. I have a 2001 with the factory 12 disc changer. Last fall I disconnected the battery to install my battery tender and when I rehooked it up the changer rebooted and recycled. I know your's is the in-dash model, but it would not hurt to try it.
