When I went shopping for my vette I didnt want a stick (live in the land of sigalerts) I made the mistake of test driving a 04 z06, .... never looked back , when I bought it, it had 8000 miles .. two years later we are looking at 62000 and loven every min of it!!!

I think that looks fantastic.
That is all it would take for me to really LOVE the look of the C6 Z06!!

Thanks for posting the pics!

I was also thinking the same thing about a custom frc for the C6.
I'm sure someone could do it.

I had a C4 prior to this. I never liked the way it looked or felt with the top off. I love my Z06. Simply rolling the windows down on a warm day is enough for me. If it's too hot(it really has to be baking for me to use the A/C) I'll turn the air on.

i had a '99 'vert before this.

if they made a z06 in a 'vert, i'd be driving it.

but, they didn't.

oh well i must suffer...

seriously, unless you've had a 'vert or a coupe prior (or enjoyed some sort of convertible car previously), you won't miss it. just open both windows if you want a rush of air.

there's the occasional times i wish i had a 'vert, but most of the time here on the east coast weather (hot & humid, or cold), i don't.

OH HELL NO

Besides the C2's the FRC/Z06 is the only reason I even like corvette's.
C6's are hideous....

If I want the open air feeling I drive the "other" Vette - I love my t-tops, in or out in the '82.

That or I drive my 01 Mitsu Spyder GT - yes, it's a ricer but it has a power top; flip two latches and push a button, the top is down in about 10 seconds.

As for the Z06 - the FRC is the mid-year of our time, low production and great looks...some people don't see it yet but all in due time!

I've always liked hard top cars. Riding with the windows down is enough air for me.

No, and I have owned both. You sound like a top down or off kind of person so you might prefer the targa model. I like the lines of the FRCs more than the other models.

To each his own.

Definitely not, I fell in love with the hardtop the first time I saw one.

Not to mention the second I saw the Targa/Coupes side profile...

Soon to be Targa Z06.
I envy you friend... I absolutely love the lines of the FRC. I remember the first time I saw one.. Now I just wish I knew of someone or a shop around me that could do the targa surgery like 96slow6 is talkin about... That's so kewl. All the fellas brave enough to cut or show how live so far away from KC.

Mine will be done with the assistance of GB Vette.

You need to do some test driving. Never had to even think about it. Never drove anything Corvette until my Z06. If you do not care about serious handling get a coupe.

Love the lines of the FRC. The ONLY coupe I would consider is the C6 Z06.
