[Video] 2001 Speedway White Z06 Roadtrip
Continuing from the post by member corvetteronw, http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...ing-south.html I finally have gotten the video edited together by my brother Brandon, from our road trip back to Houston. I really had an awesome time, in an awesome car, and met some really awesome corvette people along the way. The video is kind of long but I wanted to have something I could remember and look back at when I am older and show my kids one day, etc. I am looking forward to meeting all of you around of Houston and TX at various Corvette events, as well as conversing on the forums with all of you. I am so excited to be a Corvette owner, so this is my official intro!

Cool road trip though. Enjoy your SWZ06...i ended up with a silver one.
edit wait that was a different one. I swear i called about that one and they said it was sold. That was couple months ago...rare care 1 of 152 you got right there. Looks sweet.

First off congratulations!! That was a very awesome video probably the first ever of a actual purchase of a vette. Now you will always remember that day. If you haven't caught the mod bug yet, you will !! Good luck on your adventures!

I live just north of Lebanon Missouri and took the same trip in my Vette down through Springfield, Big Cabin, Atocha, Dallas, Houston and into Galveston about five years ago. It was a great trip made better by the car's performance. Man, you really brought back some cool memories for me. Great video!

'01 Z06 were rated at 385 which is also why the fender emblems dont have the 405 underneath. I am not sure what they did to boost it to 405 in '02. Thanks for all the compliments guys. I wanted the SW Z mod/red from day one so I had to wait, but I am glad I did.

Just got the time to see your video. Wow - this is what "Corvette Fever" is all about!
I am glad that the whole project came together. Now get some pics up of your Dad's C2!

Now that both my brother and my dad have a corvette, I will be next. It was a great trip, a great experience, and an awesome car. I have driven a 78 Vette, a 92 Vette, but this Z06 is by far the sickest. Puts a smile on your face every time you touch the gas pedal.
Thanks for the kind comments on the video.
Ron, I have major plans for the next video with the SW Z06 and Dad's Split Window coupe. We just got to get some brake work done on the '63 to get it back on the road.
I guess this is my hello to the corvette forum as well! Awesome place to hang out and get some great information.

Great video! Congrats on the new ride! I know it was road trip, however please don't get in the habit of using those drive through car wash brushes. You Z needs tender loving care - and then drive her like you stole it!

Great move! The last time I used one of those drive through car washes was about 15 years ago when I was in a pinch with a real dirty car (non-Vette) and I had a business appointment. The guy in front of me had a dirty Dodge Ram pickup truck. After I watched him hose/wash and use the scrub brush on his bed liner, I told myself "never again"!
