Default C6 Seats in a C5??

I am just curious if there is a conversion for C6 seats to fit in a C5 at this point in time I'm sure there is but I am too lazy and you guys are always so helpful with answering my questions on here. If so please post pics if you have and cost of this modification. Thanks!

It's been done and posted several times on the forum. C6 seats are a direct bolt on in our C5's. C6Z seats are very popular upgrades for C5Z's. In addition, Dodge Viper seats will also fit in our cars.

Here are a couple of posts that might help. It's a little more complicated than indicated above, but not too bad.

I'd tell ya but frankly I'm too lazy to push buttons. Wouldn't want to over exert myself with the search feature.

I have C6 seats in my 2000. Unbolt your 5s and bolt the 6s on your old rails. Take your switch set and bezel off your 5s and they also bolt right on your C6 seats. Took me about a hour to do both seats.

Just put the C5 seat rails on the C6 seats and bolt them in. There are a couple of different solutions to adapt the wiring.

I just installed mine about a month ago. As mentioned above, I just mounted the C6 seats on my C5 rails. I also used the C6 switches.

Is the seat bottom any higher then the stock C5 seats? I don't need my head any closer to the roof, and reclining the seat more to compensate is not an option for me. If the C6 seat moves my head up then I can't do these. Thanks!

I also want to do the newer C6 seats, I also have a headroom issue. Seats seem higher?

Wouldn't just recovering the C5 seats and newer foam accomplish the same thing for a lot less work and $???

I'd guess that they are 3/8" higher.

I would guess it depends on how much you can pick up a used set of C6 seats. Pricing out new leathers & foam for the C5 is priced pretty dang high in my opinion.

I am wanting some different seating also.

The foam alone for my C5 Sport Seats was about $250 from a forum vendor a couple of years ago. The seats still are not great.

C6 seats or the Corbeau are considerations me for a more comfortable seat. The C6 seats look like they fit better than the Corbeau and maintains more of a streamlined appearance.

Thanks for the post.

I did 1300 miles in a Hertz C6 and I think my C5 sport seats are way more comfortable. I'll be doing a rebuild on my seats when the time comes. I know this does not directly answer OP question but I suggest you ride those seats before you buy em.

Depends on why you need to replace the C5 seats. My seat recline mechanism on my seats had failed. I could not find a way to fix it. So I needed new seats of some kind. I found a set of mint C6 seats and so far I am happy with them. They are a little higher then my stock seats and feel more comfortable. I feel like my thighs are better supported with more cushion under my legs. They aren't a sport seats, so if you want more lateral grip then forget these.

They make C6 seats with adjustable side bolsters just like the C5's, just no holes in the seats for harnesses.
