Vette traded for New 2010 Camaro SS
Well, I finally did it. I walked in to Courtesy Chevrolet of San Jose and there it was.......A 2010 Red Camaro. I could hear it just calling my name the closer I got. After checking it out all over, we went for a test ride. The salesman even let me jump on it down Steven Creek. This monster does have some power!!! After a 20min wild ride and 45mins in the finance office, it was a done deal!! I'm now the proud owner of a .............wait a minute!!! What the hell am I doing? Is this some kind of sick dream?? Yes, it was, I woke up, looked in the garage and my 2002 Red Corvette Coupe was still sitting there. This is the last time I take Ambien with Southern Comfort!!
Actually, I did go and check them out at Courtesy on Wednesday and it made me smile, the RS decal brought back some memories but when I got back in the Vette to drive home, I smiled even bigger. Nice but just not for me.

I got to drive one of the captured test fleet Camaro SS's back in February (friend of mine is a GM exec) and I must say it was very nice but I still like my C5 a lot better. While the new Camaro is very well built and smooth, it just didn't feel very quick at all, it's just too heavy. My slightly modded C5 would easily beat it down the drag strip.

I love the new Camaro. But as said its way too big and way too heavy. I had my order secured for a new SS through a local dealership but I just couldn't go through with it.

Accelerates the same as a C5. Don't see why people make a big deal out of the weight, it is a muscle car. They are supposed to be big and heavy. I like them but, still getting used to the looks of one. I do want to see one in person, internet pics can sometimes not tell the whole story.

Good One, had me going also. I did see a 2010 Camaro at the Vettes doing Charleston show and I did not like it that much. Maybe it was the color, it was silver with a black interior. If it were yellow, black or red I might have liked it more. Just my .02
