Default Thanks UPS, I appreciate the damage

I bought two brand new GTO spares for the track. Great seller, fast shipping, and UPS damaged one wheel.

The one box must of sat on a conveyor belt just grinding away. I may or may not contact UPS may not be even worth my time. I wasn't home when they were dropped off by the way.

UPS is well known for taking no care in moving their cargo, at work we avoid them when we can.

If it was insured...think you're good to go......they solved my problem.....If the rim is unusable, would certainly try....Good luck..

This wouldn't be the first time I was banged from behind. I bought brand new C6 Z06 wheels from West Coast Corvette. They shipped the wrong sizes and they were damaged. I complained, was told it was my fault (regarding sizes) I told them I wanted factory C5 sizes in a C6 wheel. They sent C6 wheels. Next, I could return the wheels to Ca. from Ohio at my cost due to damage. I was offered a 50.00 store credit, no thanks.

Now, they are pitted, 6 months later. No salt, very little rain driving. You think they will honor the 3 year warranty? Right, my buddy sells bridges and kit to make your car run on water.

Aside from the shipping damages, it looks like the packaging was a little sub-par as well...

I wouldn't be too hard on USP, If all that was on the outside of the rim was the cardboard no wonder that happened, I don't see any protection there, Maybe I am wrong.
I bought 2 new GTO spares off eBay and they were in 2 boxes with bubble wrap.
Just being realistic here.

Well, one made it without incident. They came on the same truck. Its obvious what happened. It sat on a conveyor belt during someones lunch.

I wouldn't worry about it, Just get a can of epoxy black and repaint them.

You should reconsider using those for the track, arent they are designed for a max speed of 50mph?.

I did a little research, the tire is supposed to good to 125 mph. Its not the 50 mph tire. This is what I was told anyway. I tried looking all over the tires for a speed rating.

Edit: looked more, seems to be a bad idea......
