I was down there Saturday before last and he was wet-sanding panels and prepping for buffing.

That looks great. I love the smooth look of the fender without the gas lid but I could not stand the fuel vapors when fueling up in the cabin not to mention if some happens to spill out on the door sill or possibly the carpet/seat area. The old lady would shoot me I did this mod - she hates vapor odor more than I do. But I love the looks!
