Default Ok I just searched 6 pages of threads (Wheel Polish Cleaning)

Ok just got some CCW505A's and the outside is cleaned up pretty well. I want to clean the inner side to make it the same as the outer side. Also would like to clean the lugnut holes as well. There was a thread on this sub forum, that had a guy clean the inside of his wheels. They came out great as well....

Any ideas?

you are going to have to take them off, I use a svisswax wheel detail brush and p21S wheel gel to clean. then 0000 steel wool and some metal polish, followed up with wadded up toilet paper and a finishing metal polish.

works like a champ!

I wrap a microfiber around a flat wooden paint stirrer and spray Zaino Z6 in the barrells of the wheels. Does a nice job getting where your hand can't.

I have tried a boat load of different products and have had CCW on several cars.

I found Mothers Billett polish works the best. You can use a powerball or other various tips on a drill but in the end you will do a lot by hand

I use Rejex wax after and it seems to seal them up for a while but if you daily drive your car it won't last long because deep dish wheels tend to hold dirt and just spin it round and round as you drive kida like sand paper

I just got these wheels. So they are off the car as of now. I called CCW and they recommended the mother's billet polish. So im going to go with that. So im assuming i just apply this to the inner wheel and it should rub out or what?

rub a small amount on, then buff out with a wad of toilet paper, you are going to have to do it allot. I had CCW SP20A's and had to do it almost every time I washed the car.

You sure the toilet paper can handle that ? To me it would seem as if the TP would tear due to the crap on the inside of the wheel. The outside is fine, could be touched up some. Ill have to take some pics later today to show you guys what im talking about!

I tried Mothers Billet polish and I found it more difficult to take off, and left some fine scratches I was not happy at all about (had to rub more cause its harder to take off).

I found that Adams Metal Poilsh #1, and #2 are just plain wicked on these wheels. Adam's #1 removes all oxides, and cleans wheel. Adams #2 makes them look like chrome ! much easier to remove once applied too.

I use a new microfiber towel every time so as not to scratch the wheel.

I ordered mine from online. Search adams polishes on google. I don't think this stuff is at any autoparts store. The good stuff never seems to be right ? (Eg Zaino)

I just learned something new... I guess I have the old stuff. Looks like they re-formulated there polish into 1 bottle. Guess I'll be buying that next time I need some.

Adam's Metal Polish
Adam's Metal Polish was reformulated to be a stand alone, one-step Metal Polish. Using the same jeweler's rouge that we used in the #2, our new Adam's Metal Polish brings the same amount of gloss to brass, billet, stainless, chrome, and nickel. Adam's Metal Polish is a pure liquid formula, does not scratch and is safe to use on delicate metals. Guaranteed 110% to outshine any Metal Polish!

Go to Sams, and get a pack of 25 micro fiber towels for like $10. I like the Blue ones. Don't get cheap with your detailing expences... You spent thousands on your wheels... I think you can swing $10 for new cleaning towels...

I wash mine after they stack up enough and re-use them as long as they come somewhat clean. I have 5 new packs of 25 on standby ... Yea I'm **** like that.

Yea i figured that. I just needed it kinda today or tom. It usually take 3-4 days for delivery. I have two nitto invo's and 4 cross drilled/slotted rotors coming in on friday as well...So i was hoping to get the wheels done by then so i can take it up to discount and have them mount them.
