Default My C5 and my Friends "new" C3 (pics)

I was eating a bowl of cereal and reading the sports page this morning when my best bud Mike (CF member MJackson1000) called. He recently bought his first Vette, a 73 with a 454 from an ebay auction. The transporter was approaching with his "new" car from MD. He asked for my help to pick it up. Of course I agreed.

Here is Mikey parked on a hill in a Steak 'n Shake parking lot watching for the truck to come off the ramp.

The car hauler! Capable of hauling 8 cars, 4 in each trailer.

A 32 Ford blocking the way.

There's the Vette!

Lets get the sweet Ford coupe out of the way first.

A little walk around inspection reveals that the 454 is there and looking good.

Mike taking delivery.

Mike treated the driver and I to lunch at a local Tex Mex restaurant. I got to drive the beast there.

After lunch and a trip to the gas station, back to Mike's house. His Supra and Vette.

Mike and his Vette.

Mike and both of our Vettes.

Myself and the Vettes. My shirt courtesy of Purefun. Thanks Dell.

The C5 and the C3.

continued . . . . . . . .

A little tire width comparison.

Mike and the beasts.

Some engine shots.

All in all, Mike is pretty happy!

Cool pics.. guess Mike is pretty happy ! I love those curves on the the C3, I'd like to have a vette of each gen ,,,,,,, ohhh that would be sweet, but of course I'd have to expand my garage first

When I was a kid my best friends older brother had a white C3 - love it! I think that memory was a big reason I ended up with a white C5. CONGRATS Mike - enjoy!

454, C5 and a 3rd gen Supra, sounds like a fun event to me.

Yup.

Then in the evening, I went to a local Saturday night gathering. Mike didn't come as his car doesn't have plates and inspection yet.

Here's a couple of bonus pics from the evening gathering. SW got a "new" Ford GT. Only 700 miles on it.

No. I've asked him for the keys and he won't let me have them.

Nice looking shark your friend has. Do you miss your Vert?
